  • Troubleshoot, install, repair, and calibrate instrumentation for process measurements such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, weight, etc.
  • Troubleshoot, install, repair, and configure process control equipment such as variable speed AC drives, analog valve positioners, PLCs, and I/O modules
  • Aptitude in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment is essential
  • Develop and work from blue prints, schematic wiring and other technical diagrams
  • Install conduit and wiring as needed for motors, lighting, and control devices such as valves, limit switches, etc.
  • Comply with all food safety standards and general safety standards
  • Enter and maintain all records assigned
  • Completes required paperwork
  • Completes routine inventory of various parts, tools and/or equipment 
  • Unpack and store parts, tools and/or equipment upon receipt
  • Climb over, under and/or in equipment accessible via catwalks, manholes and/or extensive ladders
  • Transport necessary tools to and from the required job which involves pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying weighing a minimum of twenty pounds
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as an Electrician in an industrial capacity
  • Must have a general maintenance knowledge and ability to work in any area including helping a mechanic or performing mechanic duties
  • Possess an understanding of electricity, electrical systems, electrical motor control systems, and process control instrumentation. This includes, but is not limited to 480 Volt 3 Phase motor switchgear, 120 Volt control systems, PLC systems, and 4-20ma analog instrumentation
  • Must have the ability to effectively read and troubleshoot against electrical schematics
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, PCs, and other test equipment
  • Must have basic knowledge of testing and working with electrical switching devices such as starters, relays, timers, and solenoids
  • Knowledge of discrete I/O devices such as pressure and limit switches
  • Ability to operate and understand computer hardware and software as it relates to effectively execute the position
  • Ability to wear a respirator for prolonged periods while performing certain job responsibilities in area requiring the use of respirators
  • Ability to perform work above shoulder height/overhead
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities requiring the use of vibrating tools
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within working conditions of temperatures averages of 90+ degrees with possible high humidity
  • Ability to comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and/or safety requirement
  • Ability to drive forklifts, bobcats and will lifts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of analog instrumentation, PID control, PLCs and Ladder Logic highly preferred
  • Journeyman preferred
  • Industrial electrician experience
  • Maintenance experience
