Job Title: Inventory Control Manager
Job Location: Washington

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage daily physical and perpetual cycle counting efforts
  • Report, monitor, and review daily inventory adjustments and changes
  • Resolve inventory issues/Discrepancies, problem orders, and intercompany transfer issues
  • Conduct daily analyses to anticipate and resolve potential inventory problems
  • Work with corporate inventory control manager on root cause analyses and resolving inventory control problems
  • Report on inventory activities, changes, and variances, including trends and root cause analysis
  • Work with quality manager to process and resolve product quality issues
  • Develop inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Train distribution and receiving managers on inventory control practices and procedures
  • Recommend process changes to minimize inventory loss
  • Act as the liaison between the corporate distribution center and branch locations for product changes, quality, and other inventory-based issues
  • Lead, develop, and mentor inventory team
  • Assist with projects as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three to five years of experience in inventory, distribution, and operational procedures
  • One to two years of managerial or supervisory experience
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting
  • Demonstrated leadership and people skills
  • Solid understanding of distribution environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inventory training or technical certification is a plus
  • Product receiving experience is a plus
  • AS400 experience is preferred
