Job Title: Leadership Development Consultant
Job Location: New York

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and HR leaders to deliver talent plans and talent management strategies that ensure strong succession and a bench of talented future leaders
  • Responsibility for title promotion processes as well as talent planning and integration with diversity strategy
  • Support integration with other lines of business
  • Work closely with learning specialists and designers to oversee all learning in the line of business, including but not limited to entry level training, lateral new hire onboarding, promotion milestone conferences, product and technical training, management and leadership training, etc.
  • Support executives in building/developing strong teams
  • Provide and support executive coaching to key leaders in the line of business
  • Lead implementation of key leadership and talent initiatives and processes, e.g. 360 feedback, performance management, career planning
  • Build strong relationships to partner effectively with a variety of constituents (compensation, talent acquisition and other) in building integrated people processes
  • Identify, develop, and lead the implementation of multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment with competing priorities
  • Ensure optimal alignment between the business’ strategies, future state operating model and the organizational capabilities required to deliver on them

Required Qualifications:

  • Seven+ years of Leadership Development experience
  • Organization Design/Organization Effectiveness, or HR experience
  • Experience working in large, complex, and global organization
  • Experience supporting Financial Services with a strong preference of strong knowledge of Global Banking and Markets businesses
  • Ability to navigate in highly complex, matrixed organization, and operate effectively in an often ambiguous environment
  • Relationship management skills including the ability to communicate, influence and, coach at the senior leader level
  • Ability to translate strategy into specific goals, tactics and deliverables
  • Some travel required (~10%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant areas, such as Organization Development, Organization Behavior, I/O Psychology, etc.
  • Must have strong project management skills, technology proficiency, systems thinking, and quality orientation
  • Performance consulting skills including the ability to identify performance gaps by asking the right questions
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, facilitation, client service orientation, leadership, influence, teamwork, and collaboration
  • Familiarity with learning strategy and solutions
