Job Title: Risk Assessment Manager
Job Location: New York

  • Partner with key stakeholders including business, operations, risk management, legal and compliance to, oversee the successful creation, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Financial Crime risk assessment framework
  • Maintain a global inventory of products and services and factors supporting inherent risk rating assessment
  • Document relevant financial crime controls and assess effectiveness and comprehensiveness of coverage
  • Support the collection, organization, and evaluation of quantitative data relevant to the risk assessment process
  • Compile risk assessment results and facilitate the identification of risk coverage gaps to drive necessary process or program enhancements
  • Lead the development of standardized metrics and reporting and perform analysis to identify risks and trends in data
  • Support development of regional or legal entity risk assessment reports, parsed from the enterprise wide risk assessment results, as necessary
  • Ensures the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate
  • Execute governance and management reporting
  • Work within a global team and communicate effectively to members of that team

Required Qualifications:

  • Six+ years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance risk management at other financial institutions or consulting firms
  • Have a proactive approach to business issues, identifying areas of improvement, and enhancement including the automation of processes
  • Considerable knowledge of regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact risk assessment approaches for the Asset Management industry, its products and/or its underlying institutional and corporate client base
  • Strong governance and document management skills
  • Proven ability to work as part of a global team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and business partnership skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated and with excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workloads and adhere to deadline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of one or more of the following financial crime areas of AML, Sanctions, Fraud and Anti-Bribery and Corruption
