Job Title: Senior Information Technology Director - Enterprise Data Warehouse
Job Location: Missouri

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver value for business partners by understanding their analytic needs and advocating technology solutions which deliver data and analytic functionality in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible
  • The EDAS Infrastructure portfolio spans many different technology platforms and will require the Leader to have a strong understanding of data warehousing, big data, and end-user analytic solutions
  • This leader will develop a best-in-class technology stack for use within the EDAS team and develop enterprise-class hosting services where appropriate
  • The primary relationships will be with the EDAS owners of data warehouse delivery
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the other functional areas including Infrastructure, Operations, Finance, Audit, Information Security, etc.
  • Leverage enterprise services along with EDAS specific tooling to provide source code management, automated build and deploy, server monitoring, and other tooling needed maximize the efficiency of developers on EDAS platforms while ensuring adherence to enterprise policies and standards
  • Ensure that Management stays informed relative to our competitors’ use of technology by leveraging industry contacts, vendors, and strategic technology partner relationships
  • Stay alert to market/regulatory changes and other factors that affect this industry
  • Manage the EDAS Infrastructure budget and capacity planning process to make sure that we acquire and provision adequate capacity to support project demands and organic growth on EDAS systems
  • Assess current staff capabilities, identify talent gaps, and deploy human capital to address technology needs
  • Drive EDAS towards consistent operational process and maturity across all functions using a common framework and governance approach which leverages and conforms to Enterprise Technology standards
  • Deliver high quality releases that mitigate risk, by ensuring production readiness and execute production implementation tasks (e.g., code migration, etc.)
  • Holds accountability for EDAS Availability and leads the policy and process for implementing technology change and handling of technology incidents
  • Serves as the EDAS interface on all critical requests from audit and risk
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the other functional areas within IT as well as Audit, Information Security, etc.
  • Establishing and manage risk-based Business Continuity Planning (BCP) to ensure that key applications can be recovered to meet business needs
  • Manages and allocates appropriate people and financial resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget and align with strategic objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience
  • Twelve+ years of diverse IT experience with steadily increasing responsibilities
  • Proven management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple enterprise-wide technology infrastructure or service components or all end-to-end distributive infrastructure activities for the enterprise
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Teradata Database environments
  • Experience interfacing with numerous technology teams
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of database related audit and compliance goals and processes
  • Candidate must possess the proven ability to assess information security and operational risk
  • Experience with data warehouse, database and data management concepts, processes, tools and technologies including but not limited to BI, Big Data, ETL and MPP databases
  • Managing a large organization and a budget in excess of $5MM
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple enterprise-wide technology infrastructure or service components
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large and complex batch environment for the enterprise
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively drive and lead organizational change
