Job Title: Technical Services Manager
Job Location: Tennessee


  • Manages a team of Process Engineers deployed throughout the plant
  • Sets organizational priorities
  • Evaluates performance of teammates
  • Effectively teams with adjacent functions (i.e. Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.)
  • Responsible for improving quality metrics and reducing production costs
  • Monitors and evaluates status of quality and cost (scrap, repair, waste, TMA) and implements changes and corrective actions as necessary
  • Oversees and initiates direct material cost reductions without sacrificing quality
  • Leads introduction of new products into production and ensures new products are manufactured according to specification
  • Interacts with engineering, technical center, PED, quality assurance, and production in the coordination and implementation of new products, design changes, and equipment modifications to the manufacturing environment
  • Reviews and authorizes production specifications
  • Ensures processes are standardized to build a product that meets internal and external quality standards
  • Supports the Plant Manager through development of reports, long range plans, analysis, etc.
  • Represents corporation and plant in various community events

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus ten years of relevant, manufacturing experience and five years in a manufacturing leadership role; OR
  • Master’s degree in a related field plus eight years of relevant, manufacturing experience and four years in a manufacturing leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tire production experience
  • Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
